Because of WoW I made it through a rough time

My first wife passed away in January, 2006 after a two year fight with cancer. During that fight I spent a lot of time during her long naps questing my way through Azeroth – a much needed escape from where I was.

Eleven months later, my 5 year old son was diagnosed with an even nastier form of cancer. He survived against all odds, but we spent many overnights at the hospitial where I spent a lot of his sleeping time questing further into the game. He now plays on his own account.

I would never have been able to get through those times without having a place to withdraw to and spend time with a wonderful number of friends I have met through WoW.

I’ve played Blizzard’s games since Lost Vikings and have enjoyed them all. Thank you for giving us worlds to escape to.

wow, so sorry for your loss, but I'm very glad your son made it through.  The community of Blizzard games continues to amaze me!
